This modern psychiatry and med spa reveals environment that acts as a partner in the healing process. Rooted in the belief that each person’s journey is unique, the space was developed not simply as a place for treatment, but as an architecture of safety, warmth, and renewal.
From the moment guests step inside, they are greeted by an atmosphere that is tactile, human, and intentionally grounding. The palette with warm white, ochre, terracotta, and chocolate was selected for its timelessness and emotional resonance to tell the visitors that they are safe here.
The reception divided in two zones: one for those awaiting their session and another for post-treatment guests. The latter is designed as a space to decompress—a place to sip tea or read quietly, extending the therapeutic calm. Behind the reception desk a warm timber shelving displays curated books and objects under focused lighting. Fluid drapery softens the architectural lines, suggesting privacy and inviting curiosity about the spaces beyond. Throughout the project, materiality is used to modulate emotional response.
Transitioning from the reception into the corridor marks a shift in mood. Lighting dims, materials deepen, and the spatial rhythm slows. This is the threshold to the “calm zone,” where sound is absorbed, movement feels unhurried, and the environment gently prepares the mind for therapeutic work.
Three specialized treatment rooms express different design responses to their respective functions. The first is a terracotta cocoon: a darkened, enveloping space with heavy curtains, a wide chaise, and a light casting subtle water-pattern projections—designed to support deep, immersive states. The second is more open, accommodating multiple guests with generously cushioned chaises separated by curtain dividers, paired with an immersive video projection that provides a controlled, atmospheric stimulus. The third, for a treatment that benefits from alertness, is filled with daylight and oriented towards serene outdoor views, allowing nature to play an active role in the session
This is a wellness space where interior design becomes an active participant in therapy. The design embraces timeless elegance, prioritizing emotional safety as much as aesthetic sophistication.
